HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $22-$24 DOE; overtime eligibleThe Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova is seeking an experienced and dynamic Line Cook to join our Kitchen Team.Our 265-room property has recently completed a top-to-bottom renovation, including 13,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. Thisposition offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a revitalized property and help deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment.The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items efficiently, safely, and consistently in accordance with hotel and restaurant standards. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences by ensuring all dishes are prepared to specification, presented professionally, and served in a timely manner.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.* Set up and stock workstations with necessary supplies and ingredients for service.* Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet hotel and brand standards.* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with health and safety regulations.* Assist with receiving, storing, rotating, and labeling food products.* Monitor food inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management.* Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.* Work collaboratively with kitchen and restaurant team members to ensure efficient service.* Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned.* Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTSOpen availability is required for PM shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, Monday through Saturday.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE* High School Diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred.* Minimum of 2--5 years of line cook experience in a fast-paced restaurant or kitchen environment required.* Hotel restaurant experience preferred.* Pantry, grill, and sauté experience preferred.* Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices.* Valid California Food Handler Card required.* Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.* Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.* Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.* Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.* Ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of a team.* Relevant military experience in a comparable capacity is welcome.BENEFITS:* Vacation, Holiday, and Sick pay* Medical/Dental/Vision (with opt. out option)* Hotel Room Discount* Travel Reimbursement, if needed.* Life Insurance* AD&D* 401(k) - 4% Match* Discount programs* Education Assistance Program* Voluntary Long-Term Disability* Voluntary Short-Term Disability* Voluntary Hospital Insurance, Voluntary Critical Illness Insurance, Voluntary Accident Insurance* Shoes for Crews* Commuter ProgramSacramento Marriott is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
