Aerometals is looking to add the following position:Quality Engineer IIIPay range: $90,000 - $110,000 DOESchedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am - 12:00pmThe ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:Serve as the senior technical authority for nonconformance disposition on complex, flight-critical, and high-risk hardware.Own the NC management process company wide.Lead MRB activities for high-risk nonconformances.Author and submit engineering deviations and waivers to customers and government agencies, present technical justification, and coordinate approval.Lead RCCA investigations for high-visibility, systemic, or customer-escalated nonconformances using advanced methodologies including 8D, FTA, Design of Experiments (DOE), and FMEA linkage.Chair RCCA review boards; ensure rigor and completeness of investigations before responses are issued internally or externally.Manage responses to customer and regulatory CARs/SCARs.Analyze NC trends across programs; develop and implement strategic containment and prevention plans at the organizational level.Lead PFMEA facilitation, program quality planning, and FAI execution for major programs and complex assemblies.Manage supplier quality activities including qualification, surveillance audits, SCAR issuance, and Approved Supplier List (ASL) maintenance.Develop and report quality metrics to executive leadership; drive cost-of-quality (COQ) initiatives.Assist with mentoring Quality Admin, QE I, and QE II.Represent Quality in cross-functional leadership meetings, program reviews, and customer interface meetings.Perform other duties as required by the organization.Qualification Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or Manufacturing EngineeringSkills:Expert-level knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality management system requirements.Advanced proficiency with RCCA tools: 8D, FTA, DOE, FMEA, 5-Why; ability to train and facilitate others.Proficiency reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, GD&T (ASME Y14.5), and applicable aerospace specifications (MIL-STD, NASA-STD, SAE AS series).Technical writing for formal investigation reports, deviation/waiver packages, and executive quality metrics.Analytical and critical thinking for systemic quality issue resolution across multiple programs.Experience: 8 years in high reliability manufacturing – aerospace preferredTraining: On the job training.Aerometals is proud to offer its employees the following benefits:Health & WellnessFull medical coverage for employees, with generous contributions toward family plans100% company-paid long-term disability insuranceDental and vision plans with shared premiumsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) offering confidential support for life's challengesHealth and wellness reimbursement planFinancial Security401(k) retirement planAflac supplemental insuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA) to manage healthcare and dependent care costsGrowth, development, and pathways for advancementRelocation assistanceTuition reimbursementTime Off & Work-Life BalanceGenerous vacation days, paid holidays, and sick leaveAnnual holiday office closure so you can truly unplug and rechargeAbout Us:Aerometals Inc. of El Dorado Hills, California is a veteran of commercial and military aerospace manufacturing founded in 1984.
