American Sign Language Educational Interpreter

We are looking for an American Sign Language Educational Interpreter to join our Special Education team! EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A combination of training and experience, which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities, may be qualifying. We reserve the right to determine if a candidate meets the qualifications. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

• Certified by the national Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), or equivalent; in lieu of RID certification or equivalent, an educational interpreter must have achieved a score of 4.0 or above on the EIPA, the ESSE-I/R, or the NAD/ACCI assessment.
• Candidates with waiver may be considered for entry level placement while obtaining certification.
• Must have passed the EIPA with a score 2.5 or above, to meet waiver requirements. Full certification is required to maintain employment.

These requirements must be met prior to beginning employment and will be requested upon job offer acceptance.

• Fingerprint and Background clearance (paid by employer)
• Post Offer, Pre-Employment Physical (paid by employer)
• Valid Tuberculosis clearance (employer will provide if not in possession)
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
