Job Summary
A Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supports the delivery of speech and language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, providing direct therapy to students or clients, collecting and documenting data on performance and progress, and assisting with screenings and clerical tasks. The SLPA may help prepare therapy materials, support the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, and collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
