The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to several departments. This individual works independently to complete assignments and provides specific clerical and administrative support to department management and staff. Assignments include, for example, completing travel requests and purchase orders, assisting with coordinating board meetings and other events, and other tasks. In addition, the position serves as a member of the clerical pool, covering the front desk and assisting in multiple departments as needed.

Duties:

1.Drafts, composes, and types memos and correspondence as requested.2.Prepare packets for all program meetings.3.Types proposals, reports, and minutes according to established formats.4.Takes and transcribes minutes of sponsored meetings, as required.5.Assists in the planning, coordination, and implementation of special programs, conferences, workshops, Committee meetings, and the CRIHB Internal Review Board (IRB). 6.Take the lead in identifying and reserving conference rooms for meetings.7.Attend meetings when requested for the purpose of staffing registration, coordinating facility staff, active participation, recording proceedings, and gathering data on health and community-related issues.8.Responsible for monitoring departmental equipment to ensure appropriate sign-out and scheduling for use of shared equipment.9.Responds to routine requests for program information.10.Works with assigned staff to prioritize assignments.11.Maintains program filing system and maintains program mailing lists.12.Serves as backup coverage at the front entrance reception area.13.Operates general office machines.14.Regular and predictable attendance.15.Perform other relevant duties as assigned.Additional Responsibilities1.Maintain a valid, unrestricted Driver's license and ability to be insurable under CRIHB's automobile insurance.2.Position requires occasional overnight travel within CRIHB's service area.3.Requires the ability to drive up to seven (7) hours a day.

Qualifications:

QualificationsCRIHB recognizes that an equivalent combination of education, training, and progressively responsible leadership experience may be considered. A high school diploma or equivalent is required for all applicants.1.Education and Experience RequirementsoAssociate's degree in a clerical, administrative, or a closely related field; andoTwo (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience, including:?At least six (6) months in a related area (e.g., accounting, contracts, or program support).Applicants who do not possess an associate's degree (but meet the high school minimum requirement) must have at least four (4) years of progressively responsible professional experience demonstrating comparable scope and responsibility. This must include at least six (6) months in a related area (e.g., accounting, contracts, or program support).2.Preferred QualificationoBachelor's degree in a clerical, administrative, or related field is preferred.
