Description

Aerometals is looking to add the following position: Shipping Clerk. Pay range: $23 - $30 hourly. Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:

• Prepare all outbound shipments and enter data in accordance with customer, company, and/or industry requirements.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork.
• Pick orders from stock per instructions while following inventory control procedures and coordinate with packaging personnel as required.
• Coordinate as necessary with purchasing to process vendor shipments.
• Reconcile shipping requests against actual shipments to ensure all shipments are completed in a timely manner.
• Contact shipping companies to arrange for pickup of outgoing and returning shipments.
• Safely operate equipment to move product and load trucks with outgoing products.
• Respond to internal and external customer needs in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as required by the organization

Qualification Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Skills:

• Familiarity with transportation industry requirements and logistics inclusive of UPS FedEx, DHL, XPO, etc.
• Reading comprehension, attention to detail, multitasking, critical thinking, and coordination.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Experience: 1 year in shipping

Training: On the job training.
