DOE/ppPosition Type: Temp to hire/ppSummary: Were seeking an Overnight Production Equipment Technician to work for a print mail distribution company. This is a temp to hire full-time, onsite position, and the company is looking for employees eager to grow in the role and business. With us, its all about finding the job thats just right./ppDay to Day Responsibilities:/pulliPerform preventative and corrective maintenance as well as troubleshoot equipment problems. Respond to Technical Support calls in a prompt manner to ensure timely resolution./liliAppropriately logs all support calls into technician tracking system (e.g., FIIX) to ensure all work time and parts are appropriately accounted for./liliInstall electrical wiring and controls for all production-related equipment. Install, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware related to production equipment./liliRelocate production equipment and support the installation of new equipment as required by management./liliEffectively track parts usage and provide input to management and the Inventory Analyst with regard to suggested inventory levels./liliContribute to a positive quality of work life and foster team spirit and morale./liliProvide input to leadership regarding performance appraisals of junior technicians./liliEnsure compliance with maintenance records in accordance with OSHA and EPA requirements. This may include the use and maintenance of an equipment tracking database. Consistently adheres to all safety procedures./liliPerforms other duties as assigned./li/ulpWhat makes you a great fit:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent and/or technical/vocational education. Strong basic mechanical experience./liliPreferred to have vendor/equipment repair certification or experience for at least one of the companys platforms (e.g., Blue Crest, National Presort, Pitney Bowes, Bell Howell, Bowe, Buhrs, etc.)/liliUnderstands and applies a working knowledge of software programs appropriate to various job functions. Such software may include but is not limited to, print management systems, MS-Office, electronic/desk top publishing systems, FIIX, Oracle or other function specific software systems./liliUnderstands and applies a working knowledge of MS Windows, MS-DOS, MAC/OS, and other operating systems, computer networks and data storage./liliPrevious experience within a production environment with resultant knowledge of equipment repair. Proven proficiency in the operation and repair of high-speed production equipment is preferred./liliMust possess good oral and written communication skills. Ability to take direction and to work effectively under time constraints is necessary./li/ul/div
