Job Summary:

The Safety Supervisor will be responsible for working within the Safety group in support of key Operational and Technical initiatives. Lead, coordinate, and provide oversight of safety/health programs and processes at the facility. Assure compliance with regulatory requirements, SF Bay Coffee company policies, and continuous improvements in key identified measures and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performs workplace safety & environmental inspections and audits
  • Facilitates and oversees near miss and injury investigations to determine root cause(s) and offers recommendations for corrective actions
  • Create and sustain a cohesive and positive work environment while ensuring compliance with established safety programs
  • Serve as a point person for departmental inquiries and respond or escalate appropriately
  • Operate within established budget and support implementation of safety improvement initiatives
  • Lead site Safety Committee and subsequent follow-up actions
  • Demonstrate and understand safety as our core value and follow the key essentials to safety; reinforce and coach others to do the same
  • Ensure implementation and continuous improvement to all safety related programs and policies including, but not limited to: Hazardous Energy Control Program, Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, Bloodborne Pathogens, Electrical Safety Program, Chemical Management, Hearing Conservation, Hot Work, PIT Safety, Respirator and Emergency Action Plan
  • Ensure implementation and continuous improvement to all environmental related programs and policies including, but not limited to: Hazardous Chemical Disposal, Chemical Storage and Spills and Stormwater management
  • Cross-functional work with all departments and all levels of staff to ensure the health and safety program and policies are understood and upheld as a priority and value
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Comply with all company policies and procedures, demonstrating a strong commitment to Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in support of product integrity, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in safety, Occupational Safety, and Health, or related field
  • 2 - 3 years of safety experience in an industrial setting
  • 1 - 2years of Training Development and Delivery
  • 2 - 3 years of Supervisor experience

Requirements:

  • Spanish speaking
  • Provide technical and regulatory leadership

  • Must be flexible to support the hours of the manufacturing environment, including nights and weekends as required
  • Time split between Plant (production floor) and Office environments, Walking, Hot Environments, Cold Environments, Loud Environments
  • Experience and knowledge with California and federal OSHA regulations, OSHA recordkeeping requirements and Environmental regulations
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Excel, Word

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 Annually

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: 11:00 am - 8:00 pm Mon - Fri (some weekends)

Work Location: Onsite-Lincoln, CA
