Job Details

This is a limited-term position with an anticipated duration of approximately six months. Integrates knowledge, theory and practice to properly execute procedures in assigned areas of Pathology. Maintains competence in all routine histology procedures (e.g., embedding, sectioning, and routine automated staining) and advanced histology procedures (e.g., immunohistochemistry and histochemical staining); routine maintenance; slide/stain quality control; and basic troubleshooting. Duties may include receiving, preparing, archiving and/or retrieving specimen/material; preparing and or stocking department supplies and reagents; performing quality assurance tasks; producing frozen sections from specimens; and conducting training for routine histology practices.
