Attorney - Family Law

Location: Brielle, NJ (hybrid 3 onsite, 2 remote)

Compensation: $130,000-150,000

Billable Hours: 1,750 annually

Benefits: 2+ weeks PTO, 8-10 holidays, medical, 401k and more

Requirements:

• JD from accredited school
• 4 years of experience in NJ Family Law
• Litigation and courtroom experience
• Current NJ license in good standing

Position Overview

We are looking for a full-time Family Law Attorney to handle a diverse caseload of family law matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in New Jersey family law, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping clients navigate complex legal issues during challenging times in their lives.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, domestic violence, and adoption cases
• Conduct client consultations and provide expert legal advice on family law issues
• Prepare and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and pleadings
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and mediation sessions
• Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements
• Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on changes in family law legislation and case law
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management
• Participate in Mandatory Economic Mediation sessions as required by New Jersey courts
• Utilize the NJ Child Support Guidelines Worksheet to calculate and negotiate child support arrangements
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Contribute to the firm's marketing efforts and business development initiatives
