Epic Go-Live Project Manager (Hybrid)

***Must have experience and professional references verifying past performance providing Project Management for 3 Large Epic Go Lives.***

Location: Remote with Midwest Onsite Travel Required

Travel: Must be available for onsite work late February into early March

Duration: January 26 - March 20, 2026 (with possible extension)

Classification: Contract, W2 Hourly

Divurgent is seeking an experienced Epic Go-Live Project Manager to lead a short-term Epic EHR implementation project for a large health system.

This role requires proven leadership in healthcare Go-Live implementations and successful delivery of Epic EHR Go-Live projects at major hospitals in North America. If you do not meet these criteria, please do not apply. THIS IS NOT A TEAM LEAD OR ATE SUPPORT ROLE. MUST HAVE LED/MANAGED ALL ASPECTS OF A 100+ EPIC GO-LIVE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of the Epic EHR Go-Live project, including:
  • Developing and managing detailed RACI charts, project plans, Gantt charts, and risk/blocker logs
  • Documenting ongoing status and creating the build book in collaboration with technology and clinical teams
  • Ensuring project is staffed 100% with quality ATE resources and are ready for travel based on compliance of occupational health requirements
  • Coordinate and communicate project details leading up to travel date
  • Schedule and conduct training and orientation in conjunction with client and training support staff
  • Secure and document resource travel and logistic information
  • Check-in all required resources for the project and provide schedules, work locations and time keeping information
  • Direct responsibility for all Project Team Leads
  • Ensure Divurgent resources are professional, positive, provide added-value training support to physicians, nurses, clinical teams, administration, etc.
  • Provide a positive, solutions driven approach and mitigate any risks that may arise
  • Manage 100+ ATE resources successfully, without incident
  • Conduct post Go-Live offboarding and project completion plans
• Provide presence and leadership in Command Center during the project
• Partner with diverse hospital stakeholders: physicians, nurses, clinical teams, administration, IT, executives, vendor partners, and internal staff
• Provide regular status reporting to client and Divurgent leadership
• Proactively escalate issues and manage deliverables to ensure timelines and budgets are met
• Apply PMI waterfall and agile methodologies throughout the project lifecycle
• Define and maintain stakeholder lists, communication plans, and escalation protocols
• Manage scope changes and assess impacts on cost, schedule, and deliverables
• Demonstrate strong project controls through disciplined measurement, planning, and reporting
• Build trusted relationships with project teams, influencers, and executive leadership

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or computer science (required)
• Comprehensive project management experience leading Epic EHR Go-Live implementations with teams of 100+ members
• Deep knowledge of healthcare technology, clinical terminology, and workflows
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with executive-level polish
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple workstreams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project
• PMP certification required; Agile experience preferred
