Location

Dayton, Ohio. This role is primarily on-site, with hybrid remote flexibility available after the first 90 days. Additional flexibility may be considered for experienced lateral candidates.

Note

This role requires active Ohio Bar admission and 5+ years of litigation experience. Candidates must be comfortable independently managing a litigation docket.

Job Description
  • Manage an active caseload of defense litigation matters from intake through resolution
  • Handle depositions, written discovery, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation
  • Litigate matters involving insurance defense, premises liability, auto and trucking claims, construction defects, subrogation, and coverage disputes
  • Work directly with a senior partner on each file with full strategic support
  • Collaborate with experienced paralegal and legal support staff to move cases efficiently
  • Represent clients in state and federal courts across Ohio
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of civil or criminal litigation experience
  • Active Ohio Bar license in good standing
  • Proven experience handling depositions and dispositive motions
  • Ability to manage a high-volume docket with minimal oversight
  • Strong written, analytical, and courtroom skills
