About Onebrief
Onebrief is collaboration and AI-powered workflow software designed specifically for military staffs. By transforming this work, Onebrief makes the staff as a whole superhuman - meaning faster, smarter, and more efficient.
We take ownership, seek excellence, and play to win with the seriousness and camaraderie of an Olympic team. Onebrief operates as an all-remote company, though many of our employees work alongside our customers at military commands around the world.
Founded in 2019 by a group of experienced planners, today, Onebrief's team spans veterans from all forces and global organizations, and technologists from leading-edge software companies. We've raised $320m+ from top-tier investors, including Battery Ventures, General Catalyst, Sapphire Ventures, Insight Partners, and Human Capital, and today, Onebrief is valued at $2.15B. With this continued growth, Onebrief is able to make an impact where it matters most.
About the Role
As a Data Science and Internal Tools Product Manager, your primary responsibility will be to shape product bets that empower our internal teams and leverage data to drive insights across Onebrief. You will enable our teams to ship work that matters consistently and at a fast rate.
Starting with opportunities identified with our leadership team, you will refine the problem definition for internal tooling needs and data science initiatives, design high-level solutions, unpack risks and assumptions, and establish hard "no-gos"-all to ensure that projects are executed successfully with virtually no risk to schedule.
This is a critical position, with significant impact. You will work closely with our engineering, product, customer relations, and operations teams to understand their workflows, conduct thorough research to elicit requirements, and translate them into effective internal tools and data-driven solutions that multiply force across the organization.
About You
The ideal candidate is a "product person" who knows how to build software products and understands the power of data. Someone who speaks the language of engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, and doesn't rely too heavily on them to devise and evaluate solutions. Someone who is intelligent, charismatic, ambitious, and intellectually honest enough to work with internal users and elicit non-obvious requirements. Someone who writes well and can communicate difficult concepts clearly and objectively to different audiences-from technical data scientists to non-technical operations teams. Finally, someone who is organized and naturally drives projects with the sense of ownership of a startup founder.
We are especially interested in candidates who have led product initiatives working on internal tools, data platforms, analytics systems, or business intelligence solutions. Experience with workflow automation, data visualization, and building tools that improve operational efficiency is highly valued.
