Job Summary:
Supports electronic health record (EHR) implementation projects. Participates in project planning to develop scope, level of effort, path, resources, training, timelines, support, and application build requirements. Participates in onsite implementation go-lives, acting as a support resource and escalating issues appropriately. Acts as a project owner for smaller scale/impact projects and a subject matter expert (SME) for Adventist Health EHR and affiliated applications. Provides support and acts as a SME when developing workflows with project leaders and market leaders, as clinics transition to the new EHR application. Collaborates with Adventist Health EHR partners, local IT, imaging teams, revcycle partners, clinical informatics, quality, and standards teams. Oversees provider onboarding builds, which requires oversight of schedule builds, system access, testing, and necessary follow up. Oversees patient accounting builds for all implementation projects. Designs, builds, validates, maintains, and supports Epic Cadence Templates for all providers and scheduling departments. Develops and maintains positive, collaborative, supportive working relationships with all members of the organization.

Education and Work Experience:
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Communicates effectively with all project members during entire project lifecycle. Acts as a project owner for smaller scale/impact projects. Participates in testing, as needed and in developing schedules for onsite go-live support. Provides onsite support during implementation go-lives. Coordinates and submits build requests for existing clinics and providers, as needed. Oversees schedule template builds, coordinates access, ensures successful testing of builds, and collaborates with all appropriate teams. Possesses oversight of patient accounting build/tasks for ambulatory projects, which includes collaborating with revenue cycle team and implementation team.
- Acts a subject matter expert on Adventist Health EHR and affiliated applications. Provides expertise from in depth understanding of Adventist Health EHR systems including registration, scheduling and clinical documentation and system functionality. Uses system knowledge of ancillary applications, revenue cycle, and 3rd party system integrations. Assists in design, support, and build of schedule templates and in the development of documents to drive quality improvement, including the design of quality monitoring forms and quality standards. Collects data, analyzes and develops/implements new strategies to ensure an effective scheduling process.
- Develops workflows and collaborates with project and clinic leaders on operations decisions. Utilizes strong communication and analytical skills in order to define and document current state and future state workflows. Collaborates with project leaders on clinic decisions to ensure optimal and consistent workflows related to using Cerner application. Collaborates with other team members on problem resolution to help inform actionable recommendations that will lead to the most efficient, streamlined appointment scheduling processes. Documents and updates processes, procedures, guidelines, and training materials responsible for optimizing complex scheduling protocols, provider template build, and ad hoc and routine report generation.
- Collaborates with Adventist Health EHR partners, local IT, imaging teams, revcycle partners, clinical informatics, quality, provisioning, and standards teams. Participates in workgroups and planning committees, and connects with project leaders and team members as necessary on assigned projects. Recognizes and supports the templates and fundamentally understand the impact on appointment availability, provider productivity, clinic work flow, clinic staffing, expense and revenue.
- Develops workflow training materials as needed. Facilitates training classes, collaboration and working sessions, and application demonstrations. Coordinates logistics to ensure successful training events (developing schedules, securing resources, planning for training rooms/workstations/projectors).
