Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Junior Stationary Engineer - Facilities to join our dynamic team in El Dorado Hills.
We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will work 100% of the time.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, and one of the following:
- 2-year or 4-year degree, or a certificate from a technical or trade school with coursework in electric power, power generation, or industrial operations.
- Military or merchant marine experience in power distribution, generation, or industrial facilities operations.
- 2 years of experience as an industrial Facilities Technician or Facilities Engineer.
- A combination of schooling and training that satisfies the above criteria.
- Punctual, dependable, and detail oriented.
- problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, take direction, and meet time constraints.
- prioritization skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to learn the use of manually operated hoists, measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers), and man lifts.
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, industrial lift truck operations and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage.
- Familiarity with standard and metric tools, sizes, and ladder logic, control systems, and PLCs is a plus.
- Willing to go the extra mile to ensure tasks are completed correctly and on time.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required to support operations and maintenance tasks.
- Ability to travel and work remotely for up to two weeks at a time, as required.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds over short distances.
- Comfortable working at heights (up to 35 feet) using appropriate PPE, including climbing ladders up to 20 feet and operating battery-powered lifts.
- Must be able to distinguish colors and color codes.
- Ability to hear and distinguish alarm signals in an industrial environment.
- Willingness to attend recommended skills training as assigned.
- Willing to accept on-call Stationary Engineer duties once qualified.
Shift: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM - Monday to Friday

Responsibilities
Responsibilities: - Perform or assist with maintenance inspection routes, monitor equipment, read gauges/meters, record data in operational logs, and report any abnormal conditions or alarms.
- Perform or assist with maintenance and operational tasks on electrical infrastructure equipment safely and efficiently, including cleaning and wiping down critical equipment.
- Assist with operations (start/stop, open/close) on large equipment, including standby generators and electrical switchgear (480V & 21,000V), once trained and qualified.
- Adhere to all company procedures and policies, including Lock-Out-Tag-Out, NFPA 70E, start-up and shut-down procedures, and facility security protocols.
- Regularly clean assigned workspaces and equipment.
- Assist with maintaining adequate parts and consumables inventories.
- Meet and maintain corporate administrative requirements, including completing designated online training.
- Provide support for facilities maintenance, repair, and infrastructure operations.
- Provide on-call support for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th shifts as required.
- Report deficiencies, abnormalities, and alarms that could indicate or cause damage to critical infrastructure equipment to the Supervisor or Manager.
