Overview

Mid-sized Roseville law firm seeks a seasoned paralegal with experience in both civil litigation and construction defect areas of law, with a minimum of 10+ years or more of paralegal experience. Reliable transportation and a CDL are a must.

Responsibilities

• Ability to propound and respond to discovery.
• Efficiently handle case management order compliance.
• Draft and revise detailed status letters to various clients.
• Review, analyze, and summarize large volumes of records and other voluminous documents.
• Knowledge & understanding of how to operate Adobe Pro a must.
• Prepare cases for depositions, mediations and trials.
• Prepare legal arguments, applications, declarations and motions.
• Prepare legal documents, filings, and/or general correspondence with accuracy and precision.
• Effectively manage the demands of a large caseload simultaneously while working independently with minimal supervision.
• Extremely detail-oriented, organized, critical about accuracy, spelling and grammar and the ability to prioritize with excellent follow-through.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; and ability to write and speak professionally.
• Extensive knowledge of court rules.
• Strong proficiency with computer programs: MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, Time Keeping (TABS) Systems and Internet applications.

Qualifications

Education or experience to include an AA degree; a BA or BS preferred. Must possess either a paralegal certificate or be grandfathered in.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting salary is comparable to going rates and will depend on experience. Hours from 8:30-5:00 (flexible). Employee benefits include medical & dental paid by the firm with the option to purchase for qualifying family members. 401k contributions and 18 days PTO including vacation and sick.
