Description:

We are hiring a Production Equipment Technician for an on-site, direct hire role based in El Dorado Hills, CA. This position is assigned to a single facility and requires 100% on-site presence.

Overview
The Production Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining production equipment to ensure maximum availability and reliability. This includes performing preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting production systems related to archival storage and retrieval of computer-generated data, including file-based servers where applicable. The role requires the ability to read and interpret technical service bulletins and manuals to develop effective troubleshooting plans.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot production equipment issues.
  • Respond promptly to technical support calls to ensure timely resolution of equipment problems.
  • Accurately log all support calls, labor time, and parts usage in the technician tracking system such as FIIX.
  • Install electrical wiring and controls for production-related equipment.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware associated with production equipment.
  • Relocate production equipment and support installation of new equipment as directed by management.
  • Track parts usage and provide input to management and inventory staff regarding recommended inventory levels.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment and support team morale.
  • Provide feedback to leadership related to performance of junior technicians.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records in compliance with OSHA and EPA requirements, including use of equipment tracking databases.
  • Consistently follow all safety procedures and protocols.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational education preferred.
  • Vendor or equipment repair certification preferred but not required for at least one insertion platform such as Blue Crest, Bowe, Buhrs, or similar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a production environment with hands-on equipment repair experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating and repairing high-speed production equipment.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the assigned shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move 25 pounds or more throughout the shift.

Shifts

  • EWD: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and alternating Wednesday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM or
  • LWD: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and alternating Wednesday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Salary: $56,160 $64,000 annually depending on experience
