The premier specialist in workers' compensation and a leader in property and casualty insurance is seeking a Trial Attorney to join their growing team in either Roseville or Dublin, California!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle complex cases under the state administrative process (trial level).
• Defend workers' compensation cases.
• Take depositions, analyze testimony, prepare and file related reports.
• Represent the Company in appearances at hearings and conferences; prepare and file related reports.
• Research and prepare complex pleadings for cases under the state administrative process (trial level).
• Provide advice, training, and recommendations on case handling strategies and tactics to representatives of the Claims department.
• Perform legal research at all levels, from advising clients through the appellate procedures.

• Juris Doctorate Law school graduate and member in good standing of the State Bar required
• 4+ Years as a Trial Attorney for legal defense of workers' compensation claims required
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, in an articulate, persuasive, precise and professional manner.
• Experience with training small groups in current legal practices and procedures in the field of workers' compensation defense and subrogation.
• Must be willing and able to travel using all means of public transportation, as well as automobile driving, to various California venues when live appearances are requested or required
• Valid Driver License in good standing

• $150K-$200K/year (based on experience) + bonus
• PTO- including a generous holiday schedule, vacation, sick, bereavement, jury duty, personal, and floating holidays, as well as paid parental leave.
