We're hiring on behalf of our Sacramento-based client for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner , a detail-oriented, highly responsive professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings a thoughtful, "peacemaker" mindset to every challenge. Salary: $150,000-$170,000 per year (DOE)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and coordinate HR and legal support initiatives, ensuring timely execution, resource alignment, and quality outcomes across internal and client-facing projects
  • Draft, review, and maintain core documents such as policies, handbooks, agreements, and compliance materials, supporting regulatory alignment and operational clarity
  • Conduct preliminary legal research, assist in developing guidance materials, and support attorneys in delivering consistent, well-informed counsel to clients
  • Facilitate communication between clients and legal teams, triage inquiries, monitor satisfaction, and contribute to relationship-building and service expansion efforts
  • Enhance internal systems, resource libraries, and compliance workflows while supporting proposal development and promoting firm capabilities to drive growth
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher required; PHR-CA® certification strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in human resources, with emphasis on California wage and hour compliance, payroll, HR operations, and project management
  • Proven ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in client-facing HR environments
  • Strong working knowledge of California employment law and HR best practices
  • Exceptional writing, organizational, and project management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related business tool
