Reason for position Linux Environment Enhancements and Support
Project Description Design and support data networks for WSI data centers, corporate facilities, retail stores, distribution centers, call centers, and eCommerce environment. Design, develop, implement, and support network solutions for IT projects.
Duties/Day to Day Overview • Troubleshooting technical issues at the Linux level
• Coding around Ansible - write automation tasks, day 2 tasks
• Security and vulnerability remediation
• Configure, install drivers, CORE set up at a Linux level - configure to make server more secure, do you know how to create Sudo files, do you know how it operates within Active Directory
• How to stand up bare metal
• bout 50/50 Linux Environment and VM
• Enhancing the build automation
• Security vulnerability - see most embedded code inside of other binaries - mostly just doing install but do need to understand how to manipulate certificates
• Patching through satellite - managing satellite servers through ???
Top Requirements
(Must haves) • 10-15 Years of Experience
• On-Prem Experience (Physical server exp) - Cloud not relevant
• Someone who started off as a UNIX engineer but now has been working on Linux since it took over
• The person should be able to show multiple flavors of Linux within an enterprise environment.
• L3 Linux
• Core Linux role - Sudos, ssh, SSSD, IP tables, LVM, hardening Linux kernels
• Should come from a UNIX background UNIX
• Infrastructure expertise - VMware, hardware
• Firewalls, networking, storage, hypervisor, Vcenter and Vsphere, ESX (how to stand up Linux in those environments)
o Template management within Vcenter, patching it, configuring it

• Familiarity with GitHub - working in an environment with multiple branches
