We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our headquarters team in El Dorado Hills, CA. This role will support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close, helping to ensure the accuracy of RFgen's financial data as we continue to grow globally.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting

• Record journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
• Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external review.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Support

• Assist with invoice processing, payment applications, and reconciliations.
• Monitor outstanding balances and support collection efforts.
• Ensure compliance with RFgen's approval workflows before posting transactions.

Month-End & Year-End Close

• Support month-end close activities including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain fixed asset schedules, depreciation entries, and related documentation.
• Provide auditors with requested materials during annual audits.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Assist in preparing financial reports to support executive decision-making.
• Participate in budget preparation, variance analysis, and KPI tracking.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by management.

Compliance & Process Improvement

• Ensure compliance with RFgen's internal controls, company policies, and GAAP.
• Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and efficiencies.
• Maintain organized, up-to-date accounting records to support scalability.

Requirements

Education:

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in general accounting, AR/AP, or financial reporting.
• Experience in the software or professional services industry is a plus.
• Prior exposure to subscription-based or SaaS accounting models (preferred).

Skills:

• Proficiency with NetSuite or similar ERP/accounting software.
• Strong Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with colleagues and external partners.
