We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and be attentive to details.

Job Description:

1. Reviews current status of customer accounts to identify and resolve billing processing problems in a timely manner.
2. Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
3. Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
4. Maintains billing accounts and records.
5. Produces reports as required by management.
6. Assists with collections.
7. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
8. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
2. 2-3 years of experience with collections, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable
3. Excellent analytical and math skills
4. Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially in Excel
5. Strong written and communication skills
6. Skill in dealing with multiple projects and interruptions
7. Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
8. Ability to analyze financial reports
9. Ability to prepare accounting reports
10. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines as assigned
11. Ability to maintain effective working relationships
12. Full cycle accounting and generally accepted accounting principles
13. SAGE software or Syspro ERP background is a plus
