Since 1965, Aircraft Spruce and Specialty has been the largest distributor of small aircraft parts and supplies. We are seeking a detail oriented auditor to assist with the reconciliation of freight and small carrier invoices, processes and refunds to ensure compliance with our billing guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Audit and analyze vendor invoices in a timely manner. This includes reviewing invoices to ensure appropriate information is given and compliance with client-billing.
  • Investigate issues on pending invoices that may not comply with client billing guidelines and make recommendation for resolution.
  • Audit invoices against purchase orders and invoices; research discrepancies, and request approval for payment.
  • Audit invoices for any changes that occurred after the shipment was received from the carrier or delivered to the customer.
  • Provide answers and resolution to branches, carriers and employees on routine issues and concerns related to invoice auditing.
  • Work closely with Accounting, Purchasing and/or Sales in the resolution of open issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings, marketing programs and promotions.
  • Create, analyze, update and present reports detailing pending issues and expected date of resolution as required by manager on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
  • Assist team members with orders as needed.
  • Manager may assign additional responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or minimum two years in bookkeeping, freight auditing and/or accounting position.
  • Excellent verbal and written English business communication skills; Able to communicate as well with the written word as with the spoken. Additional languages a plus!
  • Good mathematical and analytical skills including cost analysis.
  • Ability to comprehend basic accounting processes, office management, and shipping/freight procedures including practices, methods and terminology.
  • Above average computer skills including email, word processing, and ability to navigate the Internet. Ability to type 50 words per minute; Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office products including excellent skills with Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Outstanding organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks/projects; knows when to push back and/or ask for help.
  • Relationship builder with both internal and external customers; Strong negotiation skills. Ability to effectively and logically present arguments in a professional demeanor aimed at an amicable outcome.
