Title: Hardware Technician / Lab Manager
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 12 months + likely extensions
Compensation: $19-$35/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Skillset / Experience:
As an HW Technician / Lab Manager, you will support the electrical engineering team who develops the latest generation of Virtual Reality devices and Hardware products. The HW Tech will be an electro-mechanically minded technician who is passionate about building products and prototypes out of electrical subsystems such as Display, Cameras, Audio, RF, Sensors, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Work with customers and colleagues to identify and fix issues with hardware.
2. Provide problem solving steps to resolve issues easily and effectively.
3. Repair computer equipment and other devices when damaged; run tests to ensure equipment is working after repair.
4. Train new users of computer hardware on best use practices.
5. Able to understand electrical and mechanical drawings, such as Schematic and Layout.
6. Able to help design and assemble custom test fixtures.
7. Assist engineering team in performing electro-mechanical assembly and tear down.
8. Skilled builder and familiar with typical shop/lab tools.
9. Creative problem solver able to figure out ways to get things done quickly, efficiently, and professionally.
10. Perform high-density PCB and FPC rework, repair and occasional troubleshooting using advanced bench tools. Component size down to 0201.

Required Skills:

1. Must have a 2-year associate degree in engineering or at least 3 years of direct electrical engineering experience.
2. Experience with 3D modelling programs.
3. Experience with PCB design programs.
4. Fine pitch soldering experience.
5. Experience building custom fixtures.
6. Experience with Android ADB.
7. Knowledge of IEC61000-4-2.
8. Able to understand electrical and mechanical drawings, such as Schematic and Layout.
9. Able to help design and assemble custom test fixtures.
10. Assist engineering team in performing electro-mechanical assembly and tear down.
11. Skilled builder and familiar with typical shop/lab tools.
12. Creative problem solver able to figure out ways to get things done quickly, efficiently, and professionally.
13. Perform high-density PCB and FPC rework, repair and occasional troubleshooting using advanced bench tools. Component size down to 0201.
