Warehouse II / Forklift (Warehouse Operations)

The ideal candidate is team oriented, works well with others, puts emphasis on attention to detail and safety. This position covers a wide variety of warehouse operations. Will be required to load and unload trucks, ship (via UPS), and receive. Will be required to read over and sign BOL's (Bill of Lading). Will also be asked to inspect, re-box and re-strap pallets and returns. While on the forklift will need to get up frequently to adjust the blades and move around smaller items on the dock.

• This is a true warehouse position, prior to getting on the forklift the candidate will be training and working on all the task listed above.

PAY RATE: 20.00 hour
HOURS: 7:30am to 4:30pm (M-F)
LOCATION: Sacramento, CA 95834
POSITION: Contract

DUTIES:

• Under general supervision, performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment and finished products.
• Receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment, and inspects condition.
• Gathers, verifies, and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used. Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.
• Routes materials, supplies and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
• Completes written and computerized documentation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Drug Test
• Background Check
• Wide variety of Warehouse Operations
• Read over and sign BOL's (Bill of Lading)
• Sit down and/or Stand Up Forklift - preferred

ABILITIES:

• Knows typical shipping and receiving procedures and can handle some exceptions.
• Requires basic reading, writing and numerical ability.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record may be required.
• Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
